Who we are
HRLawAssist is operated by Gods Own App Limited, 3 Grover Court, Loampit Hill, London SE13 7ST, United Kingdom ("we", "us"). We are the data controller for personal information collected through this website. Contact: cs@godsownapp.com.
What we collect
When you request a Compliance Check-in, we collect your name, business name, phone number, email address, business type, approximate number of staff and preferred call time. When we speak to you, we may also note information about your business's current arrangements so we can prepare your action plan.
The readiness check on our website runs entirely in your browser. Your answers are not stored or sent to us.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To arrange and deliver your check-in and action plan. This is necessary to take steps at your request (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).
- To follow up about our Business Safety Pack. This is our legitimate interest in offering relevant services to businesses (Article 6(1)(f)). You can opt out at any time.
- To keep records we are required to keep. This is to comply with legal obligations (Article 6(1)(c)).
Where we send electronic marketing, we do so in line with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations. Where consent is required (for example, for sole traders and partnerships), we ask for it first. Every message includes a simple way to opt out.
Phone calls
We screen numbers against the Telephone Preference Service and Corporate Telephone Preference Service before making unsolicited marketing calls, and we honour any request not to be called again.
Sharing
We do not sell your data. We share it only with service providers who help us run our business (for example, email and hosting providers) under appropriate contracts, or where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep check-in enquiries for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, unless you become a customer. In that case we keep records for as long as needed to provide the service and meet our legal and accounting obligations.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, object to or restrict how we use it, or ask us to stop marketing to you. Email cs@godsownapp.com. If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
